BrickHouse Alert is a company with safety and security experience. It distributes the CST fall detection system under its own name.

As with the other systems, the fall detector automatically senses the fall and calls the 24-hour Monitoring Center. According to the company, these operators “personally service over 900,000 people nationwide by sending help, giving reminders or just being there to chat.”

The system has a back-up battery that will power the BrickHouse Alert for up to 24 hours after an electrical outage. It is also supervised and will notify Brickhouse Alert if power is lost or becomes low. When power is restored, the batter recharges and is ready for any future power outages.

There is a monthly fee and a refundable hardware deposit required. BrickHouse Security is accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

The website is confusing in that it claims to offer a “free” system with the service, yet there is the monthly charge and the hardware deposit. In addition, the site has a chart comparing prices with (unnamed) competition but is misleading in how it compares features and in some instances, untrue. It claims that the “competition” has contracts of 1-5 years which is not what we found. Overall, its chart is not a reliable form of feature or pricing comparison.
